I’ve had a report that the first episode of Season 2 of American Horror Story, which premiered last night on FX, had multiple caning related scenes.
“Welcome to Briarcliff” is set in 1964 and takes place in an insane asylum on the east coast. An anonymous emailer told me that Lange caned a man and almost caned a girl and there was some dialogue about this between the man and another girl.
This review says that “Jessica Lange plays Sister Jude (a sadistic nun) who uses caning as a punishment for both wards of the hospital and on Sister Mary Eunice (Lily Rabe)… but Eunice actually seems to enjoy it and gives Jude a larger cane to use on her.”
Can anyone add more info or provide a clip?
It sounds like there could be more to come in episode 2 as Sister Jude attempts to “cure” a lesbian.

/ October 18, 2012Kit Walker (Evan Peters) is caned by Sister Jude (Jessica Lange) for spitting in her face (after having just been commited to the asylum) 20 or so minutes in. Reaction shots are all that’s shown. Later Lily Rabe is caned once by Jessica for letting the reporter back in the asylum. Lily picks out a larger cane to be used. Im told she likes being caned by news articles so we will have to see.
For anyone who cares, Evan Peters was spanked bu Steve Carell in season 7 episode 1 of The Office.

/ October 18, 2012Forgot to say: Lily is hit once at (with her hand apparently) at 39 minutes. Evan and Chloe Sevigny and the new french actress all talk about his caning in the dayroom later on. The girls tell him canings are frequent there.

/ October 20, 2012I´ve just found the time to watch the episode, write down the relevant scenes and cut a clip. Quite entertaining I´d say. As the whole season is set in that asylum there is also a chance for more spankings / canings I´d say.
