Eva Mendes is famous for roles in several major Hollywood films, including 2 Fast 2 Furious, Hitch, Training Day, Ghost Rider and We Own the Night.
In 2007, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) used a nude photo of her for their anti-fur campaign alongside the tagline “Fur? I’d rather go naked.” The picture was a back view which showed her buttocks, but not her breasts.
When asked how she felt about seeing her naked butt on a billboard, she said:
“I’m not going to lie. It will probably be weird when I see it. It’s going to be like, ‘Oh, wow, there it is.'”
Now Eva is going through a similar experience as she prepares to see her bare behind on the big screen for the first time in the adaptation of the 1940s comic book The Spirit.
She was persuaded to strip for her role as cat burglar Sand Saref by the film’s director Frank Miller. Now she has admitted that waiting to see the shots of her full and highly spankable bottom is making her nervous. She told Gamer Magazine:
“I’m excited to see what happens with this scene. Well, I don’t think it’s ‘excited’ – I’m actually nervous. I think they have a butt shot of me. I’m not sure how it ended up.”
“I really trusted Frank. We’ll see how that one turns out.”
Pictures of the scene have already appeared on the internet. The dark shadows with dramatic highlights are perhaps only to be expected as the original comic strip had a similar noirish style.
This is the rear view that has been giving Eva Mendes sleepless nights ahead of the premiere of her latest movie.
Whilst some detail may be lost, the heavy contrast serves to accentuate those famous curves, especially in the right picture with the sensational S-shape created by her back, buttocks and thighs.
The movie is the story of a rookie cop, played by Gabriel Macht, who returns from the dead as The Spirit to fight crime.
“The movie looks spectacular.” says Mendes.
It certainly does!
But the pinnacle of Eva Mendes’ career so far has to be when she appeared in Flaunt Magazine in 2007. Her breasts weren’t exposed in this photo shoot either but, just as in the PETA ad, we were treated to views of her bare back and buttocks.
Mendes turned down Playboy but agreed to this because:
I love ‘Flaunt.’ I think their artwork is some of the best artwork out there as far as photography is concerned, so I took it off. I felt really comfortable, it was fun. There’s something really liberating about it.”
Inspired no doubt by Jennifer Lopez, she’s clearly proud of her Cuban American figure and loves to show off her trademark tush. I would say her talk of nerves about its’ latest airing is just modesty, and when The Spirit is released in December she, along with the rest of us, will look up in awe and go:
‘Oh, wow, there it is, again!'”
In the film, Sand Seref is a jewel thief who’s been married 15 times and has killed each and every one of her husbands!
I can think of a good way for The Spirit to “tame” her.
