What Top Celebrities Really Think About Their Bottoms – Sandra Bullock

Sandra BullockSandra Bullock says she was more than a little anxious about a scene in The Proposal in which her co-star, Ryan Reynolds, slaps her bare behind.

From showbizspy.com: The 44 year-old Speed star was thrilled her ”jiggling butt’ was edited out of new romantic comedy The Proposal.

She was worried about stripping off and having Reynolds slapping her bare behind, but was relieved to discover the unflattering bits wouldn’t be shown.

She said: “I was really worried about my butt jiggling when contact was made. Luckily, the director was a fellow female and knew just how to cut the scene before the ripple effect happened! I am very grateful.”

The sympathetic director is Anne Fletcher. The film, in which a hard-nosed publishing executive falls for her assistant during a visa scam, has just shot to the top of the US box office.

Sandra Bullock has never been spanked in a movie before so this is a first. It would be nice to have the full uncut “pancake effect” version though!

Update March, 2013. I watched this movie on tv last week. Sandra Bullock’s power-crazed yuppie character got up everyone’s noses and a good old-fashioned homespun spanking would have put her in her place perfectly. But the much vaunted “Return of Cinema Spankings” has never quite reached the rom-com genre.

While there are a couple of brief hand-on-ass scenes, Bullock’s quote, predictably perhaps, turned out to be hype more than anything. This is a bottom patting not a slapping and, unless I’m much mistaken, she’s wearing a dressing gown.

Still, here are the two scenes.

  1. Don’t know what to make of this item, really.

Is it really a GOOD thing that Ms. Bullock’s bare bottom was not visible on screen during that slap?

    You say:

“She was worried about stripping off and having Reynolds slapping her bare behind, but was relieved to discover the unflattering bits wouldn’t be shown.”

To each his/her own, but if you are going to make a movie where someone’s butt gets slapped, you should SHOW the audience what is happening. Otherwise there is no thrill, and the movie might just as well play on radio.

    Cheers,
    Dan

  2. I’d love to hear you bending the ear of directors such as Anne Fletcher about how it SHOULD be done, Dan! You would make an awesome “spanking consultant” on any movie set!

Seriously though, from Sandra Bullock’s point of view it IS a good thing because she didn’t want her bottom to look wobbly on screen!

From OUR point of view, I agree that it sounds disappointing although there should be a bit more to see than you would get on the radio – hopefully!

  3. I thought Ms. Bullock was smarter than that. Doesn’t she know that most men really enjoy watching the “jiggle effect”, and that it’s one of the additional pleasures involved in smacking a cute bare bottom such as hers?
