Highlighting the work of two sex photographers who have dabbled with a touch of hanky-spanky:
I found these two pictures on the website of photographer Frank de Blase. His black and white glamour shots nostalgically recreate the soft porn of the 1940-50s period.
I think a wide-angle lens has probably been used in this one – it has a striking sense of perspective anyway.
The categories in his free photo gallery include “beach bunnies”, “nudie cuties” “hotrod honeys” “swivellin exotics” – get the idea?
Fortunately, there’s a fetish category too – entitled “Battlin Buxotics”, whatever that means. This second spanking shot has more than a touch of BettiePage about it.
Holly’s mother Suze Randall is clearly an influence too. She worked for Playboy and Penthouse in the 1970s.
She also produced the 2006 mainstream porn flic Slut School, the cover of which is pretty similar. According to a review, this movie does actually deliver a spanking scene:
Here are two scenes that really popped out at me though as classics. First would be the second scene of the movie that stars Codi Milo, Jenna Haze, and Jeanie Marie. At the beginning Codi and Jenna are in the library when they get caught fooling around by the strict librarian, Jeanie. It’s the 61st International Film Festival at Cannes,
and one of the highlights has been the premiere of lesbian drama You and I starring Mischa Barton.
The movie sees the former O.C. star playing one of two teenage girls who fall in love after they meet at a concert by Russian pop duo TaTu.
The plotline describes how they “are swept into a dangerous world of obsession, drug abuse and murder”.
Mischa, you may recall, was shown naked from behind in last year’s Closing the Ring (below).
The latest hot news from Cannes is that her bottom gets another airing in this film!
She plays Lana Starkova, an aspiring model who finds herself dealing with the unsavoury side of the fashion industry when she turns up for a casting. According to British director Roland Joffe:
She has a scene in a modelling agency where a man asks her to show her arse because that’s what can happen in a modelling agency.
It is humiliating and a lot of actresses would have said, ‘I don’t want my arse shown full screen thank you very much’, but Mischa knew this is what the scene was all about. She is a brave actress.
This sounds more fun than the full nudity of Closing The Ring. I hope she’s wearing a skirt and has to raise it, preferably accompanied by a little bending forward. The subsequent “full-screen” shot could then be a treat.
Her behind was also in the news earlier this month when she was papped in the harsh Australian sunlight, and the pictures showed that her rear and thighs were covered in cellulite.
According to reports from Cannes, she has refused to attend press conferences about the film because she doesn’t think it is any good.
Could the real reason be that she is avoiding any potentially embarrassing questions about her bottom?
No screen caps seem to be available yet, but the film is also expected to see the revival of the pop career of TaTu, who play themselves in the movie. So I’ve included a little schoolgirl lesbian posing just in case you’d forgotten what their stage act was based on.

Further to my much read post about Ian Fleming, the LA Times exclusively announced yeterday that a biopic of Fleming is now in the pipeline starring Leonardo di Caprio:
De Caprio’s production company recently came on as producer of Fleming, an original screenplay written by Damian Stevenson about the life of the British author and journalist who created James Bond.
“It’s going to be very different from the Bond films,” says producer Andrew Lazar (“Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,” “Get Smart”), who first championed the project. “There are a lot of different ways to crack biopics, but we’re not trying to emulate a Bond movie. The idea that this guy’s life informed the James Bond character is pretty fascinating.”
The screenplay begins on the eve of Fleming’s Jamaica wedding in 1952, just before his first Bond novel, Casino Royale, was published (a wedding present to his new wife).
It then flashes back to Fleming’s years as a Reuters journalist stationed in Moscow and then a Commander of Naval Intelligence during World War II.
This is potentially very interesting news indeed, and I promise to keep you posted on who will be playing Fleming’s wives and lovers in this film.
Minnesota-born photographer, Angela Strassheim, was raised by strict religious parents who convinced her she was going to hell when she died. Her conservative Christian childhood is a key to understanding her photography.
Strassheim’s second series of 20 photos was exhibited at the Marvelli Gallery in New York in 2006. In one print of 30 x 40 inches a girl kneels over the knee of a grey-haired man. Her jeans and white panties have been lowered to half-mast and her bare buttocks ripple from the impact of the chastisement she is receiving.
Her photos of family life are not inspired just by her own childhood memories, but by seeing her siblings repeating the same strict behavior with their children. Many of her photographs feature her actual family members.
Strassheim captures the most intimate and uncomfortable moments of family life with an unflinching eye, whether it’s a family saying grace over sausage and eggs, or a father spanking his adolescent daughter.
Along the left edge of the picture there is an out-of-focus doorknob, giving the sense that we are peering voyeuristically into someone’s private space. Within, two figures are caught reenacting Max Ernst’s famously transgressive The Virgin Spanking the Christ Child before Three Witnesses, only instead of Mary disciplining the infant Jesus, we have a lean, gray-haired father-figure perched on the side of a bed, teenage girl bent over his knee. Her underwear is pulled down, and you can see the flesh rippling where his hand impacts her bare bottom. She appears rather too old for such treatment, while he, if you look close, lacks any sort of wedding band on his fingers.
This picture was taken to advertise a play about Casanova, which is currently being performed at a theatre in the North of England. It’s based on the famous 1980s Athena tennis-girl poster.
The original of course shows the bare-bottomed model holding a tennis racket. But what is she holding in this version?
Most probably a mirror. But why let the facts get in the way of a good fantasy? Couldn’t it just as easily be a jewel-encrusted roccoco spanking paddle as used by the decadent womanisers of 18th Century Venice?
I don’t know if Casanova was into spanking, but the play would be worth watching if it featured him using his paddle to add a bit of rouge to the pale upturned bottoms of his many mistresses and lovers.

We all love a uniform, and when it’s worn for a service job, enticing possibilities are raised in the mind of the dedicated spanker. As a kid, I vividly remember reading a newspaper report about the owner of a tea-room who caned the bottoms of his waitresses whenever there was a discrepancy in the cash till. His wife used to witness the 6 stroke canings and the pair were prosecuted together and fined after one girl reported them to the police.

The waitress spanking scenario has been close to my heart ever since. In this candid camera clip from an East European TV show a waitress gets spanked by the manager for spilling food. The customers seem to think it’s real enough!
I had high hopes when a movie came out in 2007 called Waitress. It starred the eminently across-the-knee-worthy Keri Russell. The manager of the diner where she worked had plenty of opportunities, but there was no ‘Candid Camera’ moment to speak of.
The best substitute I can come up with is this chef/waitress spanking picture. It comes from the Shadow Lane stable, and the uniform of the spankee looks identical to that worn by Keri Russell in Waitress. The onlookers are all luminaries of the US spanking scene including our very distinguished contributor Dan (back row, center).
A movie with a waitress spanking scene appeared in 2011. In Australian thriller Crawl, a seedy bar owner exacts his own form of repayment when one of his waitresses, played by Lauren Dillon, defaults on a loan.
Janus regularly featured excellent uniform based photoshoots during the 1980s. Their waitress set uses just a few simple props, but it hit the spot for me because of the pretty model called Cara, her uniform, and the memories it evoked of reading that old newspaper report. Waitress spanking artwork isn’t common but one DC comic strip has a redheaded “spitfire” who works in a canteen being spanked by a WWII fighter pilot in front of a group of laughing colleagues. The scene comes comes from a 1969 edition of Our Army at War and Chicago Spanking Review has the full details here.
I found the picture at the top of this post on CSR too. It’s by fetish artist Bill Ward and shows an otk spanking for a leggy waitress with the diners looking on from their tables in the background. She has earned her punishment by spilling a bowl of spaghetti on a customer’s head! CSR writes:
Many a maid and not a few secretaries got spanked in Bill Ward’s cartoons, but as far as we know only one waitress was subjected to the OTK treatment. Carelessly dumping a bowl of spaghetti on a customer’s head would seem to be adequate justification for the “spankin’-good meal” that the customer serves up in response.
Good OTK positioning, deft execution, and a lovely, well-proportioned spankee make this one of Ward’s best spanking cartoons. Judging from the customer’s appearance and the fact that the waitress does not possess the enormous bosom all of Ward’s women did after a certain point in his career, we’d guess that this cartoon first appeared some time between 1955 and 1962.
Let’s finish by taking a look at some pictures of waitresses from different periods of history. Whilst I like the traditional black and white style uniforms best, retro American diner uniforms are also extremely cute, and the outfits worn in modern day fast food chains are not entirely without their charms.
